If I were you, I went to laser, inkjet printers are very good pictures, photos, etc., and the text is not all bad, but if you can in the printing of 1,500 copies per month and more than one page have long-term cost for inkjet printers.
The lasers are set for their needs because they do not quickly to be (in all cases, however), and "cost per copy with a cheap laser printers tend.
A certain degree of water resistance to your newsletter because it will run out of ink when wet, but that dosnt mean that their opinions are closed ....
Hope this helps, and online store, because I wouldnt really meet their needs "big" and only need the service and support, the larger machines (I work) in the industry. You get the machine and its delivery as easy as connecting a USB cable and configure a Windows printer .... easy!
You are on the right track as far 11x17 newsletter, which avoids the ugly brackets in the corners of sheets of 8.5X11. For the volume that you (1500 / month), I had almost propose to recommend a color laser printer for this purpose. 1500 pages on any printer ink costs a fortune in ink ... Laser Printer page allows savings in ink car, good overall.
Now, for the brand ... I've always preferred HP ... Personally, I was formerly the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 5500N and find it wonderful to process a large print jobs and color very well. I think it prints 20 pages per minute or so ... It costs approximately $ 1,300. Worthwhile for the type of work you want to ...

I use the HP 8750 as a large format (13x19) photo printer. I am very happy with it. I do not know much for text. I read that text quality is not as good. But the images are excellent.
